Norwegian Pure Omega 3

Many species of fish such as arctic cod, arctic char, flounder, and salmon flourish and thrive deep beneath the surface of the frigid Norwegian Arctic Ocean. Because of the extremely cold waters, they develop additional fatty tissue in order to keep their bodies warm, and because the waters are so pure, the fatty tissue is uncontaminated by industrial pollutants. One of the concerns with many Omega 3 fish oil products is that they contain high levels of mercury and other pollutants. Norwegian Pure Omega 3 uses fish sourced from the Norwegian Arctic waters, ensuring that you get the purest, most concentrated Omega 3 fatty acids in the world. In addition, we molecularly distill the fish oils during the manufacturing process in order to make sure that there are no heavy metals, PCBs, or dioxins in our product.

Our strict quality control standards assure 100% purity. This is important both to keep your body from being contaminated and to produce the most potent Omega-3 molecules in the world. The DHA and EPA in Norwegian Pure Omega 3 is further concentrated during production, making each pill contain almost the same amount of Omega 3s as a prescription Omega 3 pharmaceutical, for a fraction of the cost. In addition, because they aren't compromised by harmful chemicals, our Norwegian Pure Omega 3 fatty acids have an exceptionally high bioavailability rate, meaning that the body can take them in and get the maximum amount of use from them. Nothing gets wasted.

What's So Important About Fish Oils and Omega 3s Anyway

Fish oils are an exceptionally potent source of Omega-3 fatty acids, which, through their integral role in energy storage, brain chemistry, and lowering cholesterol and blood pressure, among other things, play a part in maintaining the health of nearly every system in your body. Through their interactions with Omega-6 fats, they have been shown to benefit the body in multiple ways, including:
  • Reducing heart arrhythmias
  • Promoting healthy joints and lessening arthritic pain
  • Cleaning up harmful neurotoxins that cause Parkinson's and Alzheimer's, among other brain diseases
  • Improving skin health
  • Detoxifying the liver
  • Providing more energy and balanced blood sugar levels
  • Preventing macular degeneration, the number one cause of age-related blindness
  • And many more!
Because they work in tandem, it is important to include the same amount of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fats in your diet. However, due to modern diets and food processing practices, our diets may contain as much as thirty times the Omega 6s as Omega 3s. Omega 6 fats produce more inflammatory metabolites than Omega 3s, meaning that muscles, nerves, and even organs can be subjected to undue stress when too many Omega 6s are consumed.

Types of Omega-3 Fats in Norwegian Pure

EPA (eicosapentoic acid), an omega-3 fatty acid naturally found in the fish oils in Norwegian Pure Omega 3, is a noted anti-inflammatory compound used to treat everything from arthritis to asthma. As autoimmune disease suppressants, the eicosanoids metabolized from EPA regulate the damage caused by inflammatory immune system elements such as cytokines. Omega-6 eicosanoids tend to produce these molecules, which are activated by oxidative stress (and in turn cause oxidative stress when they're activated, in order to activate other cytokines), but this inflammatory response can get out of hand without omega-3-produced eicosanoids deriving from EPA. Omega-3 eicosanoids reduce the oxidative stress when there aren't any bacteria or viruses to fight, restoring the body to a natural state of equilibrium.

EPA has also been shown to lower incidences of schizophrenia, depression, and suicidal behavior, due to its ability to inhibit inflammatory molecules in the brain. DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), the other major compound in Norwegian Pure Omega 3, is a major component of brain and retinal tissue. DHA supplementation can prevent a number of degenerative diseases including macular degeneration in the eyes and Alzheimer's Disease. DHA helps to form several neurotransmitters, which are essential to normal nerve and brain function. In addition, the docosanoids synthesized from DHA can also help to reduce inflammation in muscular, joint and immune systems.

Not All Fish Oil Supplements Are Created Equal

Many fish oil supplements on the market today are watered down with unnecessary ingredients at best, and toxic chemicals at worst. Norwegian Pure Omega 3 contains up to three times as much EPA and DHA as other leading fish oil brands. You get pharmaceutical-grade Omega-3 supplementation, without the potential side effects or cost. Thanks to the purity of Norwegian waters and our molecular distillation process, our softgels are 100% free of harmful industrial compounds. In addition, many people have had trouble with fish oil supplements causing reflux or gag responses.

Fish oils, while incredibly healthy, can taste awful. It's an unspoken understanding in the medical world that the worse something tastes, the healthier it is for you. We add lemon extract, orange oil, and enteric coatings to our easy-to-swallow, odor-controlled softgels, allowing you to have the best health benefits and taste possible. Keep in mind that human beings can't produce their own Omega-3 fatty acids. Because of our diet, it is often incredibly difficult to get enough omega 3s to ensure adequate brain and heart health.

Omega 3 supplementation is almost a necessity in this day and age. Which omega 3 will you take? The choice is yours, but if you want the most efficient, safest, easiest-to-swallow fish oil supplement on the market, Norwegian Pure Omega 3 is the product for you.

Natural Biology recommends Norwegian Pure Omega 3 because of its high levels of DHA and EPA while being molecularly distilled for the ultimate purity.

We also recommend Antarctic Pure Krill Oil for a great omega 3 product that absorbs at 95% versus 65% for our best fish oils. Most other fish oils are below 40% bio-availability. Warning: If you are allergic to shellfish do not take Krill Oil.
